We use a variety of wood finishes for our products. Products that are meant for food contact use food safe finishes such as tung oil, raw linseed oil and extra virgin olive oil . On our culinary products we use food safe Kustom Grit polishing compound and food safe waxes (either a bees wax & mineral oil blend or a wax and recycled cooking oil blend).

Products not meant for food contact may be finished with shellac, acrylic spray or a french polishing technique. We only use polyurethane or polycrylic on our wood tables and on our sea shells.

We do not fumigate our wood products, However, none of our wood products contains borer or termites. Before finishing wood products we apply eucalyptus and/or peppermint oil to the surfaces, which greatly deters borer and termites.
